BRIEF:

Role: Sessional Activity Co-ordinator

Fee: £10 per hr. x 12 hrs. per wk. x 50 wks. (there could be a possibility to extend for a further period) 

Hours: 12 Hours per week – Shift Pattern – Friday’s 11.45am – 5.45pm (6hrs) and flexible on remaining 6 hours to be worked any day Mon-Thur and/or possibly an occasional Saturday

Responsible to: Company Secretary in the first instance and Chair of the board of Trustees

Responsible for: Volunteers

Role Summary: To develop, co-ordinate and deliver the charity’s community activity programme

MAIN TASKS

Planning, co-ordination and delivery of the charities own programme of activity and events

Assist with the development of the activity programme

Line management and development of volunteers; assist in the recruitment, induction, support and supervision, development and training needs etc. and keep effective records

Marketing of the activity programme using various marketing methods e.g. face-to-face, digital, publications, mail etc. to encourage participation and attendance at courses, activities, clubs and events etc.

Attend meetings with stakeholders, the board, staff team and networking events

Assisting the board in fundraising and making grant applications to support programme delivery

Assist with the monitoring and evaluation of the charity’s activity programme

Undertake your own clerical and administrative responsibilities and tasks.

Provide staff with updated details for mailing lists, contact lists and client information.

Maintain a safe and secure working environment liaising with the caretakers and programme tutors, volunteers etc.

Follow procedures for record keeping ensuring the security and confidentiality of data.

Undertake any other associated administrative to accomplish the task

Experience of delivery small community projects

Experience of line managing and supporting development of volunteers/personnel

Experiencing of fundraising

Experience of report writing

Experience of marketing including market research

Experience of monitoring and evaluation

Experience of problem solving

Knowledge of Health and safety in the workplace

Ability to use and manage IT including social media, email, Internet etc.

Numerate and literate

Excellent Communication skills
